CALDY produced a sparkling nine try performance against a young Otley side.
The Caldy back play was at times sublime with both Gavin Roberts and Harry Broadbent scoring a brace before half time.
After the break, Otley managed to get more possession and caused the home side a few difficulties earning themselves a bonus point but Caldy rallied late in the second half with two tries in the last 10 minutes.
Skipper Richard Vasey had another good day at the office with some fine kicks and a personal haul of 14 points.
After only four minutes, Liam Devaney notched the first try of the day after he rounded his opposite number to score in the corner.
Harry Broadbent scored the first of his two tries on 13 minutes after some excellent interplay with Liam Devaney.
Otley hit back with a breakaway try through back rower Temm and brought the scores level with the conversion and a penalty through fly half Gemmell.
Harry Broadbent scored the try of the day as he collected the kick off and beat three players before scoring out wide. Vasey converted.
Gavin Roberts scored a pair of tries on 28 and 36 minutes through great support firstly of Shaun Woof and then Adam Aigbokhae.
The half time score saw Caldy lead by 31 points to 10.
After the break, it was much the same for Caldy as Andrew Soutar came off his wing to collect a sublime pass from Shaun Woof to score under the posts.
Josiah Dickinson scored his fourth try of the season after good period of pressure from the forwards led to the ball being spread down the right and Dickinson rounded his man to touch down. Otley then sprang into action as they scored two quick tries through Rhodes and Wood as it looked like Otley might get back into the game.
Jack Parker who had an outstanding game at prop and was a menace all day then got his deserved try on 72 minutes stop Otley’s momentum.
The Otley full back Twomey scored an excellent solo try to reduce the deficit before AJ Smith pounced on a mistake by Otley in the last minute to earn Caldy their ninth try and a 59-25 victory.
