Hoylake’s secure a fine win

HOYLAKE enjoyed a 32-20 victory over visiting Tyldesley in South Lancashire/ Cheshire One League.

Ben Flint crossed twice. There were also touchdowns for Steve Young and Jake Woods with Joe Lavin kicking the rest of the points.

Wigan accounted for Winnington Park 22-18 and Ormskirk saw off Vagabonds 32-14. It was not so good for Collegiate who fell 17-48 at home to Sale.

Sefton enjoyed an eight-try romp at Moore for a 57-3 Division Two success. Ian Evans grabbed two of them and Paul Scott registered seventeen points with seven conversions and a penalty.

Orrell Anvils won 20-3 at Ramsey but there were defeats for Ruskin Park 10-29 at Douglas, Southport 20-25 at Marple, Wallasey 10-40 at Dukinfield and Oldershaw 7-45 at Warrington.

Parkonians claimed the Division Three derby against Port Sunlight 31-22. Liam Sadler and Barry Owens scored a brace of tries each for the winners.

Prenton edged home 28-27 at Liverpool Rangers but it was easier for Ellesmere Port who came away 63-7 to the good from Capenhurst.

St Edwards accounted for Birchfield 41-14 in North Lancashire One.

West Park Warriors hit St Mary’s 39-3 in Division Two while Mossley Hill crushed Colne and Nelson 43-7.
