Caldy Rugby girls win festival trophy

AS the Caldy First XV finished the season with a thrilling assault on promotion, narrowly missing the jump up into National League 1, the rest of the Club showed strength in depth with convincing end-of-season victories.

The Club’s Under 14s and Under 7s sides won the Cheshire Cup, while the Under 10 Bs clinched the Cheshire Cup ‘B’ Team trophy and the Caldy Girls were delighted to hold the Winners trophy aloft at The North of England Girls 10s Festival held annually at the Club.

Chairman Graham Armitage commented “ we were extremely proud of the performance at all age groups this season, but particularly the Cheshire Cup and North of England winners. We are fortunate to have some of the best coaches and support staff in the North which has brought a level of skill, commitment and most importantly enjoyment of the game right the way through the ranks.”
