Anselmians beat Winnington Park 41-10 and can clinch a play-off place by winning their two remaining games. Peter Rees and John Close notched two tries each. Phil Brocken also crossed and Simon Mason landed five conversions and two penalties.
Oldershaw finished 13-10 to the good against Ashton-on-Mersey in Division 2, thanks to a Jack Downes try and the conversion plus two penalties from Mark Hallam.

New Brighton 15
Leigh 15
LEIGH just edged the verdict in this hard fought North West One League clash, writes Andrew Stratton.
There was never much between the sides who started the game side by side in the table.
Brighton looked as if they would run away with it early on but Leigh stayed in the picture before getting ahead for a crucial second time deep in the final quarter.
Luke Thompson kicked an early penalty for the Blues and Nick Aldersley touched down from a kick through by Simone Mafi on seventeen minutes.
Lee missed two penalty chances for Leigh but added the goal when the forwards pushed over for a try just ahead of the break by Calvin Crompton.
Lee’s penalty made it 8-10 in the 54th minute but Brighton rallied for Paul Lewis to get in early in the final quarter.
Leigh had the last say as Gareth Jones grabbed their second touch down in the 75th minute.
Brighton could still have won it but a long range penalty by Thompson in added time drifted wide.
Crompton at number eight and Dave Wood at scrum-half were excellent for the winners.
Mafi shone for the Blues but some of their play was a bit disjointed as Leigh narrowly avenged a single point reverse at the start of the campaign
