Wirral keep on winning after Hoylake triumph

WIRRAL maintained their winning ways in South Lancashire/Cheshire One League as they beat Hoylake 49-7.

Winger Oliver Atkinson led the way with three tries. Rob Pearl, Tim Hodson, Ben Marsh and Ian White also crossed and Sam Broadbent converted the lot.

Steve Young added the goal to a Rich Young touch down for Hoylake.

Anselmians came away 32-10 to the good from Warrington. Sion Rowlands went in twice and John Close and Andy Crebbin once each.

Sefton were 42-7 winners at Buxton in Division Two. John James and Jamie Cuthbertson grabbed two tries each.

Wallasey were on the wrong side of a 45-14 outcome at Crewe and Nantwich.

Parkonians secured their first win in Division Three 12-3 at Congleton. Geoff Waters and Mike Marnick crossed . A Steve Evans try earned Prenton a 5-5 draw at Holmes Chapel but Port Sunlight fell 50-20 at Capenhurst. St Edwards were beaten 25-8 by Eagle in North Lancashire League.
