Wirral go fourth to conquer

WIRRAL Schoolboys under-15s secured their place in the fourth round of the National Cup with a 2-0 win at Copelane.

Paul Lindfield, Jimmy Ireland and James Simpson went close in an entertaining first half before victory was sealed in the second half through a free-kick from Curtis Jones and a good finish from Peter Shell.

Manager Brian Morgan said: “I was pleased with the preparation for such an arduous journey and the team performed well.”
