VAUXHALL MOTORS Chairman Alan Bartlam is delighted with the way everything is coming together for the Chester FC game, which will take place at Rivacre Park on Tuesday, October 30 (7.45pm ko).
Following a number of recent committee meetings, final preparations are currently underway. However, the Motors’ Chairman was able to provide the following information to fans that are looking to attend this attractive local derby.
Bartlam said: “We have arranged for a shuttle service operated by Helms Coaches which will take supporters from Hooton Interchange to the ground and back again afterwards, whether fans travel to Hooton by car or train.
“We would encourage as many fans as possible to use this service. To park your car at Hooton costs just 80p and the shuttle service is just £2 each. The shuttle will be operating from 6.05pm that evening and in all there are twelve trips planned into the ground before kick-off, with the last one leaving Hooton at 7.35pm.
“We would encourage all supporters to get to the ground as early as possible to avoid congestion around the turnstiles.
“Please remember only those with car parking tickets will be allowed near the ground. And there will not be any parking allowed in the vicinity of the ground by order of the Police.
“So please give very careful thought to your means of transport.
“And don't forget, this is an all-ticket match and there are no cash sales on the night. Our season ticket holders can obtain their match ticket on the evening of Monday, October 15 and any training night thereafter, with the sale of general tickets available from 5pm on Saturday, October 20, after our home game against Oxford City, but after that from Lookers showroom on Rossmore Road from Monday 22nd onwards, during the hours of 9.30am to 5pm each day.”
Next up for ninth-placed Motors is an away trip to Histon on Saturday (3pm ko). The Cambridgeshire side are currently 21st in the Blue Square Bet North league table.
