Gainsborough Trinity2
MOTORS will be disappointed not to have got anything out of this game as Gainsborough Trinity recorded their first victory of the season.
Trinity took the lead when defender Luke Waterfall's header was deflected by the unfortunate Chris Noone and away from the diving Zac Jones to give the Blues a 1-0 lead after just four minutes.
Just six minutes later, Motors were back on level terms when James Ellison's shot towards goal was well saved by Jan Budtz.
However Tom Rutter, making his first start for Motors, followed up with a fine strike just inside the box which beat Budtz.
The winning goal was scored on 63 minutes when winger Terry Hawkridge whipped in a free-kick and Paul Connor found the back of the net with a stooping header from close range.
