VAUXHALL Motors welcome Blue Square Bet Premier side Wrexham to Rivacre Park on Saturday (3pm ko).
Twelve months ago, the Motormen were scheduled to face Wrexham here but less than 48 hours prior to the friendly, this had to be cancelled due to difficulties back at the Racecourse ground.
Thankfully, those issues were overcome shortly after and Wrexham confounded the experts by claiming another play-off spot in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Vauxhall chairman Alan Bartlam commented: “I am pleased to welcome Wrexham back to Rivacre Park for our annual friendly.
“This will be a great test for us considering Wrexham finished third in the league above us last season.
“If you are looking for a football fix this Saturday, please try and come along and see Vauxhall against one of the best non-league sides in the North West.
With regards players, he added: “I have no doubt Carl Macauley has been working his magic once again with astute signings, some of which we are likely to see in action in our colours for the first time against Wrexham.
“Whilst we are always going to face budget restraints due to the size of the club, Carl somehow unearths some really talented players who can more than hold their own at this standard of football.”
Admission prices against Wrexham will be £6 adults, £4 concessions, £2 students (student ID required or adult price will be charged) and Under 16s £1.
