Hinckley 2-2 Vauxhall Motors

The eagerly anticipated six pointer at the Greene King Stadium ended all square leaving the fate of both relegation-threatened clubs no clearer.

The home side took the lead midway through the first half when Calum Flanagan’s long throw found debutant Omar Bogle in the area who cleverly spun and curled a low shot beyond the outstretched Scott Tynan for the opening goal.

Tynan was the busiest of the two keepers in the first half, he denied Bogle twice in quick succession, the latter save saw him diving at point blank range to keep out a powerful header.

Motors got their equaliser just before half-time when leading goalscorer Josh Wilson initially hit his 20 yard free-kick straight at the Hinckley wall however the ball came back to Wilson who made no mistake second time around with an unstoppable drive beyond the helpless Hinckley keeper Danny Haystead.

The goal lifted the Motormen and they come out after the interval with their tails up and subsequently took the lead on 53 minutes.

Lee Dames whipped in a deep left wing cross and Kevin Holsgrove was at the back post to hook the ball over his marker before hitting a clever left footed strike from eight yards out.

Hinckley clawed themselves back into the game with a deserved equaliser on 82 minutes when Motors failed to deal with another Flanagan long throw with the ball eventually falling to Tom Byrne who lobbed the ball back into the area for Danny Bragoli to head home from close range.
