Wirral Junior Cup Round 3.
Bird v Myrtle
Bird F.C. goalkeeper John Hurst put in a great shift to stifle Myrtle A.F.C. on numerous occasions.
The Bird made the most of their chances finishing 4-3 winners, Kyle Williams netted twice supplemented by Micky McCann and Jason Wilde as they edge into the next round of the cup. Luke Cullen, Adam Maizer, and a Liam Casey penalty was scant reward for Tom Doughty's young side.
Birkenhead F.C. smashed Chester league outfit Levers Athletic 12-2, brothers Ian and Ricky Louchran both hit hatricks, Ricky Neill bagged a brace his second an absolute rocket.
James Atherton, Ryan Atherton, Jamie Edwards and Dennis Baker completed the goal fest as Birkenhead go from strength to strength to ease into the hat for the next round draw.
Jesse Robinson equalised for McGinty's with a tap in two minutes from the final whistle to make 1-1 against F.C. Village.
The tie was goalless after extra time but McGinty's progressed through 3-2 on penalties. Neil O'Shea, Jamal Mule and Imad Ali netted from the spot in a well fought and typical cup encounter.
