Vauxhall Motors 0 Redditch United 5

STRIKER Jozsef Jakab hit a hat-trick for Redditch as the away team easily brushed aside Vauxhall Motors to move up to 16th in the Blue Square North table.

Although Vauxhall had plenty of possession in the early stages, Redditch took the lead on 25 minutes when Redditch midfielder Jack Byrne crossed from the right wing and Jakab was left unmarked to head home from eight yards out.

Just nine minutes later and it was 2-0. Brad Bullimore hit a low cross from the right and Dan Carter swivelled and hit a fine right foot shot past the outstretched Vauxhall keeper James Coates.

The home side nearly pulled a goal back on 27 minutes when captain Josh Wilson’s cross from the right wing was met by Chris Noone but his header from close range failed to trouble Redditch keeper Danny Lewis.

Just before the interval Redditch stretched their lead to 3-0 when Bullimore crossed again and Jakab grabbed his second with a fine header from close range.

The Motormen made three changes at half-time to try and claw themselves back into the match but the game was more or less over after 50 minutes when another right wing cross was poked home by Redditch defender Liam Francis.

Jakab grabbed his hat-trick after 59 minutes with the goal of the game. The impressive striker turned Hannigan on the edge of the box and rifled home an unstoppable left foot pile driver which went in off the underside of the cross bar.
