THE Gun edged this top of the table encounter by the odd goal to remain top, and unbeaten in division 1.

Jamie Edwards was the hero with a well taken double for The Gun. Mark McNoon fired home from the edge of the box into the top corner for Claughton.

FC Village versus Universal Windows. The Village continue their steady start with a good victory at home to Universal. Matthew Easterbrook, Stewart Morrell slotting in solos, James Marnell was on target for Universal.

Moreton 4

New Ferry Wirral Hotel 3

Moreton just shaded it is this seven goal tussle against New Ferry. John Cupit, Dale Ray, Paul Keeran, and an own goal was enough to seal victory for Moreton. Ferry,s Jason Stenhouse, Robbie Stewart and Gary Bateman all in on the action with singles.

New Brighton 1

Woodchurch 2

John Goody netted a great individual goal as he went on a mazy solo run to goal backed up by a Chris Griffiths strike, Ashley Miller netting for New Brighton.

Sheridans 1

Birkenhead FC1

Peter Navarro struck again this time, with a well taken spot kick for Sheridans. Birkenhead will come away from this one wondering why ! after most of the possession and chances in the second half but failing to capitalise. Ian Louchran was Birkenheads solo marksman.
