The Gun claimed a deserved victory over the Villagers,with singles each for Phil Hudson,Richie Neill,Kev Machin and Jamie Edwards.

New Brighton ran out 6-2 winners over fellow new comers Birkenhead F.C, Dave Carrington & Dave Smith netting for Birkenhead.

New Ferry Wirral Hotel 2

Universal Windows 2, Steven Baker slotted home a penalty, Jason Stahouse following up with a great header for New Ferry. Universals Ryan Judge and Welsley Davies replying to share the points in a closely fought encounter.

Tony Murphy and Danny Holdsworth both got on the score sheet to make a good start to the new season for Parkfield.

Newly promoted Sheridans suffered a miserable start to the opening day going down 7 v 0 to a good Woodchurch side. Lee Jones fired home a hatrick, Paul Devey slotted in a brace backed up by Adam Grave 1 Mickey Devey 1.
