VAUXHALL midfielder James Holden has left the club for newly-promoted Welsh Premier side Bala Town.
Holden arrived at the Motassist Arena last summer following an unsuccessful trial at Barrow FC and turned out to be a key figure in manager Carl Macauley’s side featuring in 41 games and scoring three goals.
Meanwhile Motors have announce they will be offering a supporter the chance to join their first team squad this season by auctioning a squad place.
Chairman Alan Bartlam said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to feel like part of Carl Macauley’s squad in a season that promises so much at the Motassist Arena.
“This idea has been used by other clubs such as AFC Telford and it will be very interesting to see how it develops.”
The winning bidder will receive registration as an official member of the Motors squad, a player’s sponsors page listed in the match day programme and inclusion in the team photo.
Bartlam added: “This is a once in a lifetime experience for any fan of the Motormen.”

Meanwhile Vauxhall entertain League One side Stockport County on Wednesday July 22 at 7.15pm in a pre-season friendly as part of the transfer deal that took goalkeeper Lloyd Rigby to Edgeley Park last year.
