Wirral Hornets basketball team start season with clash against Cheshire Jets

WIRRAL Hornets open their National League programme with a crucial match against Cheshire Jets at Woodchurch High School Sports Hall this Sunday, tip-off at 3pm.

Anthony Whitehead, of the Hornets, said: “It is our curtain-raiser to our National League programme.

“Last season, we finished third in the Basketball National League and just missed out on promotion.”
