Motors left in limbo over league status

VAUXHALL Motors will have to wait until early next week to find out if they will remain in the Blue Square North.

Despite selling their long-time home only last summer, crisis-hit Nuneaton Borough are preparing to enter administration with debts in excess of £750,000, but will be kept in limbo over their league status by the FA until Monday, June 9.

The Motormen could be granted an 11th hour repreieve from relegation into the UniBond Premier Division next season if the FA decide to demote Borough to the Southern Division One Midlands.

Nuneaton’s major shareholder, Ian Neale, said: “We have been talking to the FA, who have been helping us and we are expecting the procedure to come to a head very soon.

"We have two proposals on the table and we are still in dialogue with the FA, who will rubber-stamp a decision on June 9."
