Last game for Motors

VAUXHALL Motors look set to play their final Blue Square North fixture at Rivacre Park against play-off hopefuls Southport this Saturday at 3pm.

The Sandgrounders began the final week of the league season just outside the play-off places but with a midweek game in hand on their rivals.

Either way, nothing other than a victory at Rivacre Park, over the already relegated Motormen, is likely to be good enough to cement their play-off hopes.

But Carl Macauley is encouraging his squad to show him exactly what they are made of, as he plans an assault on the UniBond Premier Division come August.

Last Saturday, an injury-ravaged Motors went down 1-0 at home to Hinckley United.
