LAIRDS now need just four points to be sure of promotion into the UniBond Premier Division after winning 2-1 at both Spalding and Quorn FC.
Mark Reed put the Birkenhead men ahead – only for the Tulips to level on the hour mark last Saturday.
The points were wrapped up just before the final whistle when Eddie Jebb thundered home.
Lairds made the short hop across to Leicestershire on Sunday for the second part of their weekend schedule against Quorn FC.
Quorn took the lead on the half-hour mark through Justin Jenkins, but Lairds were levelled through Ian Cooke.
Reed then scored what proved to be the winner 10 minutes into the second half.
