IN THE first round of the Victory Cup, Moreton edged past Sports Bar 3-2.
Man-of-the-match Wayne Robinson struck a superb free-kick, while Paul Cupit and Marc Barrow were also on target.
Kelma are also in the hat for the second round after a tough 4-2 victory over Universal Windows.
Elsewhere, FC Borough snatched a 1-0 win over Manor Athletic. In the first round of the Truman Cup, Trafalgar Rangers produced an inspired display to cruise to a 6-1 triumph over FC Village.
Paul Lloyd hit two superb volleys and Tom Kirwan also notched two goals. Craig Pownell and debutant Joe Lutalo, who came off the bench, were Trafalgar's other scorers.
Darren Eaton scored a consolation for FC Village. Goals from Mike Roach, James Atherton and Jamie Brown anchored Claughton Hotel to a comfortbale 3-0 scoreline agaisnt Bebington Rovers.
In Division One action, a fine hat-trick from Danny Smith steered Parkfield BA to a 5-2 win at Willows, while in Division Two, another three goal hero, Eddie Sample, inspired Avenue to a 4-2 victory over Tower.
