VAUXHALL stormed into the final qualifying round of the FA Cup thanks to a stunning solo effort in the third minute of injury time from top scorer Paul Taylor.
Had it not been for home keeper Dickinson, Motors would surely have booked their passage long before added time.
Taylor also had a hand in both of Vauxhall’s other two goals. Unfortunate to be one down at the break, man-of-the-match Tom Field levelled the scores on 58 minutes.
Six minutes later, Anthony Wright converted a rebound to give them the lead after Taylor’s overhead kick came back off the bar.
Guiseley, riding high in the Unibond Premier Division, then drew level with 20 minutes left.
But Taylor latched on to a loose ball inside the center circle and rounded the keeper before slotting home the winner in added time.
This coming Saturday, the Motormen return home to Rivacre Park when they play host to Leigh RMI.
Readers of the Wirral News can gain entry for just £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, with all accompanied children free, but only if they bring their copy of the paper along with them.
Then next Tuesday, AFC Telford United make their way to Rivacre Park for a 7.45pm kick-off.
