Samantha gets call up

RISING cricket star Samantha Hilton is definitely a player to watch for the future after earning a call-up to Cheshire Ladies.

Since she joined Tranmere Vic’s aged nine, the Year 11 pupil at Bebington High Sports College has not looked back.

Hilton also plays for Birkenhead Park, where she trains at least four-times a week, as well as finding the time to play for Neston Ladies. Not content with that, Samantha has also turned out for Cheshire County Cricket Club under-17s for the last four seasons under the watchful eye of her coach, Andy Paton.

Her hard work and commitment has recently earned her a call up to play for Cheshire Ladies, which is the next step to be chosen for England.

A spokeswoman for Bebington High said: “We are extremely proud of this exceptionally committed sportswoman and as Samantha strives to improve her game even more, she is certainly a name to look out for in the future.”
