HOYLAKE Sailing Club beat the poor weather to stage several races in their Annual Regatta.
There was competition on the Marine Lake at West Kirby, on the Mersey off Rock Ferry and at Hoylake but some classes missed out.
Dave Evans lifted the Grenfell Memorial Trophy for the Falcons with two wins in Hawkwind.
The Challenge Cup for the home based Operas was claimed by Andrew Stratton aboard Silvana.
Mersey wins were posted by John Bargwanath in the Mylnes and Graham Ellis in the Etchells.
