EARLIER this month, seven students from The Jason Rodd Academy of Tae Kwon-do based in West Kirby travelled to the main headquarters of the TAGB in Bristol.
The grading comprised of sparring (semi-contact), patterns, floor work techniques and a theory test on the history of the sport.
Each student had to be successful in all areas to gain their new dan grades. Jason Rodd (instructor) said: “At West Kirby Tae Kwon-Do we maintain a very high standard and pass rate at our academies.
“My students are very dedicated, training up to three times a week in preparation for this event.
“I have now produced in excess of 80 black belts and dan grades over a seven-year period.
“I am proud to say they all performed extremely well and I’m thrilled to congratulate them on achieving their new grades.”
