HANNAH ROBERTS has returned from the Taekwondo English Championships with a double gold medal haul.
Competing in Telford, the West Kirby Tae kwon-do member who is a Black Belt 2nd Dan won the Girls Junior Black Belt Patterns/Kata & Sparring division trophies.
Hannah, 14, has been competing in taekwondo at the club now for over nine years, winning well in excess of a hundred trophies and medals holding Local, National and World titles.
Hannah’s record in this competition since 2005 is excellent: Patterns/kata Champion; 4x Gold & 1x silver medallist in 2007 – Sparring; 2x gold & 2x Bronze medallist.
Also in action was Joe Billing, 11, who in only his second tournament of his career took third place in the Patterns/Kata Yellow belt boys division, which had at least 30-40 juniors competing for a medal.
West Kirby instructor Jason Rodd said: “I would like to congratulate both students on a great result and hope that they both continue to do well winning medals.”
