Two pupils from Redcourt School have excelled on the athletics track

TWO pupils from Redcourt School, Oxton, Birkenhead came first in North West schools athletics regional finals at Robin Park Sports Arena, Wigan.

Both pupils now qualify to compete at the national finals which are being held in Birmingham today.

Competing against 24 schools from across the north west region Jonathan Nelson (10) won the Under 11 75 metres final and Joshua Solomon-Davies (9) won both the 60 metres final and long jump competition.

This year over 300 schools across England will be competing for this, the 47th, annual athletics competition of its kind organised by ISA (Independent Schools Association)
