OXTON men’s 1st XI continued their impressive form with a resounding 8-3 victory at Ben Rhydding.
Oxton led 3-1 at half time and despite conceding early in the second half, stepped up the intensity and controlled the match.
Gordon Moore rolled back the years with a hat-trick, Ali Mckenzie and Richard Sutton bagged a brace and Jonathan Hodgkinson converted a short corner with a crisp strike.
Oxton host Hull on Saturday in their final home league game of the Northern Premier League season.
Skipper Ben Russell, Jed Dunbar and Juske Wantanabe were on target as the seconds beat Knutsford firsts 3-1. The thirds drew 0-0 against Deeside Ramblers while the fourths won 4-1 against Crewe Vagrants 3s.
The fifth team were defeated 4-2 by Wilmslow seconds.
The sixth team secured promotion beating Chester 3-1. .
