Oxton school makes a splash

SWIMMING stars from an Oxton school have been crowned the North of England champions.

Eight pupils from Prenton Prep School reigned supreme at the Independent Schools Association North of England Swimming Gala held at Grand Central Pools in Stockport.

All eight of the super swimmers reached their respective finals and the school registered four first places, five second place finishes, two thirds and one fifth.

Prenton Prep claimed the title and, as an added bonus, five of their pupils will now compete for the North of England later this year in the ISA National Finals in Coventry.
