peter goes gold
NINE-year-old Tony Carscadden has struck gold once again – this time at the Warrington Athletics Club Terry Davies Memorial Meeting.
The St Andrews School pupil also came home with a silver medal – duplicating exactly his medal haul from the same meeting at the same venue back in May.
Carscadden, from Bebington, ran the 75m in 11.1 to win gold before going on to run the 150m in 22.3 to win silver and smash his personal best time for the 150m from 23.00 to 22.3.
Tony, who trains with Wirral AC at The Oval, holds the record time at Warrington in the 75m for under-11s – not bad considering he only took up athletics last October. He has also won every meeting that he has competed in and gained six medals.
