VAUXHALL Motors now have two home friendlies lined-up against Football League opposition in preparation for the new Blue Square Northern League, which starts on the August 11.
Manager Carl Macauley has confirmed that striker Karl O’Donnell, the club’s leading scorer going into March, has now been placed on the transfer list.
Macauley was forced to place O’Donnell on the list following player’s decision not to make himself available to the Motormen.
All enquiries for the player must be made through the club’s chairman.
Pre-season training at Rivacre Park will commence at the end of June when a number of new faces are anticipated, as Motors build for their fourth campaign at this level.
Full details of the pre-season matches arranged will be announced when more details are available.
Meanwhile, club chairman Alan Bartlam was delighted by the turn out for Motors’ first car boot sale on Sunday.
Now plans are in hand to stage other such events over the summer period, with Saturday dates looking a distinct possibility to avoid clashing with other similar sales.
