CAMMELL Laird consolidated their place in the promotion play-off places with an 3-0 win at Harrogate Railway in Unibond Division One.
Lairds took an early lead through John Collins, who headed into the net from eight yards out.
Jamie McGuire added the second before rounding the scoring off with his side’s third minutes later.
The win set Lairds up nicely for last night’s Cheshire Senior Cup semi-final clash against League Two’s Chester City at Kirklands.
If they win that then next Tuesday’s scheduled home league match against Clitheroe will be postponed to a later date to accommodate the final, which is due to be held at Witton Albion on the same evening.
Lairds travel to old adversaries Alsager Town this Saturday in the quarter-final of the UniBond League Chairman’s Cup.
