Re-run for Motors

CARL Macauley's Vauxhall Motors completed a league double over Worksop Town at Rivacre Park last Saturday.

A comfortable 2-0 win, and with Lee Furlong over his virus and Lee Woodyatt and Anthony Wright back after injury, the Motormen are looking good to launch a challenge for a play-off spot in the Nationwide Conference North in the weeks ahead.

A first home goal of the campaign from striker Thomas Rooney and a second half penalty from captain Stephen McNulty kept the Motormen well in the hunt, despite still occupying a place in the bottom half of the table. They are just six points behind Kettering who occupy the final play-off spot.

This coming Saturday they travel North to face Barrow, looking to build upon the latest victory. The Motormen have an amazing record at Holker Street, having won on each of their five previous visits and surely a sixth win there will catapult Motors closer to the top five.
