Wilkie steps down as captain

MARK Wilkie missed Saturday's game forWallasey in the Liverpool Competition and later revealed he had resigned as first team captain.

He said: "It appears thatthe members of the first team no longer have confidence in my ability to captain the team, so in the best interests of the club Ihave resigned as captain and John Pugh has taken over with immediate effect.

"I will continue to playfor and support the club and represent the first team if selected."

Meanwhile, only 12 overs were bowled in the ECB Premier Division of the CD Bramall Truck Cheshire County League.
