The Wirral side could not get to grips with the bowling of Chris Whelan (3-18), Graham Bolton (3-37) and Ashraf Nawab (3-21), slumping to 86. Pakistan's Fawad Alam unbeaten 42, including a winning six, provided a comfortable seven wicket victory. Fleetwood Hesketh go third after an easy eight wicket win at New Brighton. Paul Mullen took 4-18 as the home side were skittled for 69 (25.4) after losing the toss, Craig Prince (32 not out) and Neil Rimmer (20 not out) seeing the visitors home.
