LIVERPOOL Victoria Rowing Club based at the West Float Dock between Wallasey and Birkenhead hosted one of their two major racing events of year ‘The Head of the Float’ recently.
Seventy five crews from around the North West participated and competition for fastest crew of the day was fierce.
The club were delighted when their under-18 men’s junior quad comprised of Connor Mumford, Robin Hudson-Kirkham, Tom Callander and Ben McWilliams were overall winners.
This under-18 crew is at the cutting edge of a junior squad which has grown in size following the Olympics.
The Women’s Novice Fours and Women’s Under-18 Fours also won prizes on the day for being the fastest crews in their classes.
