Birkenhead pro boxer Sean Dodd extends unbeaten record to four with victory over Chuck Jones at the Liverpool Olympia

BIRKENHEAD professional boxer Sean “Masher” DODD extended his unbeaten record to four wins from four contests on Saturday night at the Liverpool Olympia with a points victory over Chuck Jones.

Jones is a renowned hard man of the ring but Dodd was able to control the pace of the first three rounds of the fight with his jab. He resisted the urge to get involved in a brawl with his stocky opponent until the final round when he had his fans on their feet with some exciting exchanges.

Hard body punches had an effect on Jones who tried to fight back off the ropes but he was met by a barrage of punches from Masher, who drove him back to the ropes and unloaded punches with both hands.

Dodd should return to the ring in late February or early March.
