CALDY scored eight tries as they swept to a 66-14 victory over Westoe in this National Two North encounter.
Gavin Roberts grabbed a brace of tries and Richard Vasey scored 26 points with the boot as the Wirral side produced a scintillating second half performance to stretch away from the South Shieldsmen.
Dom Kohler started the scoring after an excellent pass from Rich Vasey found him in space. Vasey converted and then kicked a penalty to take the lead to 10 points.
Westoe hit back with an excellent try through Roberts, converted by Mellish.
Vasey kicked two penalties either side of a further Westoe try from McKenzie before Jones scored for Caldy on 36 minutes to give them a healthy half time lead.
The first half saw both sides make uncharacteristic errors in a scrappy start.
After the break there was only one side in it as Gavin Roberts scored two solo tries before man of the match Ben Eaves marked an excellent return to the side with a try out wide.
