BIRKENHEAD professional boxers Sean Dodd and Sean Lewis extended their unbeaten records to three wins from three contests with victories on the David Price heavyweight title show at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
Roared on by almost 800 fans from Birkenhead the pair produced the best performances of their careers so far.
Lightweight Dodd gave away half a stone in weight to veteran Billy Smith but won every round for a 40-36 points victory.
This was an impressive performance from "Masher" as he controlled the pace of the fight with a lightning fast jab and then followed up with solid combinations to the head and body.
His punch selection was very impressive, especially his right uppercut which found its way through Smith's defence throughout the fight.
Welterweight Lewis looked much more comfortable at his lightest ever weight of ten stone seven pounds and has now settled well into professional boxing after a nervous couple of fights.
His 40-37 points victory over Crawley's experienced Ross Payne was very dominant. Like his gym mate Dodd he used his jab to good effect and his left hook around the side of Payne's guard was a constant threat, opening a cut to Payne's eye in the second round.
Everyone was impressed with the improvement in Sean's performance and we are looking forward to watching him develop over the next twelve months.
Both boxers would like to thank everyone that bought tickets to come and watch them box.
The noise that welcomed the boxers into the Arena was incredible and the support is very much appreciated. They will both be boxing at the Liverpool Olympia on Saturday, December 8 - tickets will be available soon and we advise people to get their tickets quickly because the show will definitely sell out.
