Wirral schools forced to pay for their own lollipop men and women

She was also critical of recent council advertisements last month for new staff – earning around £20,000 a year – to join the authority’s Road Safety Unit.

“The council is well aware of the dangers around the school, located next to the busy Leasowe Road dual carriageway. I do not believe the cabinet member has a clue about the problems her cuts are causing to local schools.”
