Redcourt High
Redcourt – St Anselm’s is a Christian Brothers, independent school, based in Oxton on the Wirral and welcomes children of all abilities.
It is an inclusive, co-educational, day preparatory school for children aged 3 - 11 years. There is no formal entrance examination and prospective pupils are invited into Redcourt for a day’s visit. During the day, Staff will assess the level at which the visiting child is currently working.
At Redcourt we endeavour to operate in an open and friendly manner, becoming something of a second home for our pupils.
Our aim is to provide each and every child with a sound academic education in an environment which is explicitly Christian and where discipline and care go hand in hand. We endeavour to be aware of each child as an individual and we seek to encourage the development of the whole person.
Most children join the school at nursery level. The core national curriculum subjects plus RE, History, Geography, Art and Design, PE and Games, Music, ICT and French form the basis of what is taught. Children take KS1 and KS2 assessments (generally in excess of 90% achieving Level 4 in Mathematics, English, Science) and are prepared for the eleven plus and entrance examinations of grammar and selective independent schools.
