VIDEO REPORT: Sue ready to run for Wirral charity

AN inspirational Bebington woman is preparing to run the UK’s biggest marathon – with a little help from a friend.

Sue Hadley has always been visually impaired because of an eye condition known as Anaridia, but lost her sight fully last February after a glaucoma operation.

But the 44-year-old hasn’t let it deter her – and after running a personal best at the Great North Run last October she is now in training for April’s London Marathon.

Sue is running with Garry Wells, who became her running partner last autumn.

Garry, 38, from Wigan, said: “Training is going really well, we have a laugh and a joke and the miles just pass by.”

Sue and Garry will be raising money for Guide Dogs for the Blind and the Wirral Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted.
