Robotics team make finals

A TEAM of robotics enthusiasts from a Wirral school made it to the finals of an international competition.

Pupils from Prenton High School for Girls will be heading out to Istanbul for the UK RoboCup finals in July.

The team, made up of Jodie Lunt, Hannah Grisdale, Megan McSherry, Holly Pierce and Jessica Smith, beat all comers in the Robot Search and Rescue, before coming second in the Robot Football, against teams from across the UK.

It's the fifth year in a row that Prenton has progressed to this stage.
