A man who needs regular medication to control his behaviour has gone missing from a secure mental health unit - and police say he may have a knife.
Marvin Walters, 28, was last seen at approximately 11.50am yesterday, before going missing from the mental health unit in Lewisham, south east London, the Metropolitan Police said.
He was detained under the Mental Health Act on January 31, and he requires regular medication to control his behaviour and, without this, police said he must be considered a risk to the public.
Mr Walters is black, 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall, of medium build, with short afro hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded top, a long white jumper suit or overalls and dark trainers.
Police believe he may have a knife.
Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to call 999 immediately if they see him.
For other information about Mr Walters' whereabouts the public is asked to contact Lewisham CID on 07788 916 864.
