WBO light-heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly will defend his title against American Ryan Coyne in Los Angeles on November 10, subject to receiving approval from the sanctioning body.
Both fighters are unbeaten and the bout will form part of the undercard for Abner Mares' WBC super-bantamweight title defence at the Staples Center.
"I'm absolutely delighted for the opportunity, I'm really looking forward to it," Cleverly said. "It is a great opportunity for me to make the next step in my career."
The fight will be Cleverly's fourth defence of his title, and the first outside of the United Kingdom, with the 25-year-old looking forward to establishing a name for himself in the United States.
He added: "The timing is perfect, I think I have made a few defences of my title and now it is time for me to go over to the States and get some exposure and make a statement."
