A LOCAL council has appealed for help in finding a man caught on CCTV defecating over a new children's play area.
The man had the shock of his life when a spotlight from the CCTV camera, which covers the play area on Shepherd's Bush Green, beamed down on him as he crouched to carry out his business.
The lout's every move was captured on the camera, and the video has been released in the hope he can be identified and fined.
The culprit is seen lurking around the play zone, which opened last month following refurbishment of the popular Green. He is seen drinking from a can before picking up what appears to be a used tissue from a picnic table and walking around to the swings and slides.
At the critical moment a night vision camera, which beams images to a new hub at Hammersmith Town Hall, shines a light on him.
Shocked, the man uses the already soiled tissue and walks away, muttering under his breath. He was wearing blue denim jeans and a grey hooded top with a white logo, was white and of medium build.
The incident occurred on January 6 2013, at 2:40am.
Deputy council leader Greg Smith told the fulhamchronicle.co.uk: “I have rarely seen such bare-faced cheek. This was not a medical emergency, it was a premeditated act next to a new play area which is used by families and children every day.
“But our CCTV cameras mean this individual has really dumped himself in it. We are calling on all decent residents to help us find this revolting yob by viewing the YouTube clip before he strikes again.”
