Two killed in Russia plane crash

Two people have been killed in the crash of a passenger airliner at Moscow's Vnukovo airport, according to Russia's Interior Ministry.

The plane, a Tupolev-204 twin-engine jet, went off the runway at Russia's third-busiest airport on Saturday afternoon; it broke apart and caught fire.

News reports said about a dozen people were aboard and that several of them were seriously injured.

Ministry spokesman Gennady Bogachev said on state news channel Vesti that two people died.

The plane belonged to the Russian airline Red Wings.
