A DERELICT shopping centre has become the focus of a battle-ground between the undead and armed civilians.
But fear not, it’s not the end of the world – just a creepy new ‘zombie experience’ that’s been launched in Reading.
The city’s derelict Friar’s Walk mall is the host of the increasing-popular game – which was launched to rave reviews back in April.
Inspired by the terrifying Dawn of the Dead, the Zombie Shopping Mall experience gives people the chance to take part in their very own horror movie.
Teams of ‘survivors’ are pitted against the zombie hordes in a variety of games, after training by ‘police firearms experts’.
Working as a team, the group must wind their way through the shopping centre, clearing it of the undead.
Richard Kershaw, co-founder of Wish.co.uk, who came up with the idea for the experience said: “We believe this is the most realistic zombie encounter available anywhere in the UK.
“We’re expecting Zombie Shopping Mall to be one of our most popular experiences – not least because the mall is due to be demolished.
