STAFF at Wirral Partnership Homes have raised over £1,400 for their chosen annual charity, Claire House Children’s Hospice, which offers vital support to children and young people with complex medical conditions and their families.
Staff participated in a festive Christmas jumper competition, donated money instead of buying Christmas cards, and contributed the proceeds from a ukele Christmas sing-along.
In addition, more than 20 staff members took part in the Claire House ‘Santas on the Run’ event at Birkenhead Park on a very cold and rainy day.
The cheque was presented this week by WPH chief executive Brian Simpson to the Claire House Fundraising Team.
Brian Simpson said: “The staff at WPH are always willing to support worthy charities and last year raised well over £6,000.
‘‘They particularly chose local charity Claire House Children’s Hospice and we are really pleased to help them reach their £2.5m annual target.”
