Dragon boat event raises thousands for Hoylake Lifeboats

CALDAY Grange Grammar School’s Dragon Boat Challenge raised nearly £6,000 for Hoylake Lifeboat.

The annual challenge, which took place last September at West Kirby Marine Lake, attracted 16 teams from local businesses and schools.

Last year’s winners were Calday Grammar’s own lower sixth form, who competed in the final against Merseyside Police.

The money was presented to the RNLI at Hoylake Lifeboat Station last week.
