A SURVIVOR of Cancer from Thornton Hough has organised a pamper evening this Friday to raise money for All Saints Church and The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
Doreen Mosedale was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2005. She remembers how difficult she found this time in her life and recalls being an inpatient at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre: “It was a very tough time in my life coping with chemotherapy and all the side effects that go with it.
"But throughout the whole of my treatment, I was treated with care and dignity, and was always encouraged by dedicated and amazing staff.”
“Following my treatment and how amazed I was by the care I’d been given, I decided to give something back and joined the patient council at Clatterbridge. It was only then did I realise just how much The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity need to raise for the Centre.
"They must raise £1.4million each year to continue their work. I am now dedicated to raising money for this fantastic local charity to help Clatterbridge patients and their families, just like they helped me”

Doreen has, with the help of beauty professionals at Clarins, organised a ladies pamper evening to raise money for the charity close to her heart.
The pamper night at Thornton Hough Village Hall on Friday 9 November promises the opportunity to discuss your beauty regime and gain expert advice, Clarins products will be on sale to purchase, a goodie bag and a glass of wine included is in your ticket price.
Half of the money will be donated to The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and half to Doreen’s second chosen charity All Saints Church, Thornton Hough.
Tickets are priced at just £10 and are available by contacting Doreen on 0151 336 4597 or The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity on 0151 482 7948.
Jade Barrett, Community Fundraising Manager at The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity said: “We are so lucky to have people like Doreen dedicated to raising money us.
